We discussed this in PS also. Kundram was the pallava time build right, Varahi also a pallava deity - possibly some link happened that way.
Lot of interesting things in Kundram, Somaskanda present during the marriage of Skanda and the carving of Hanuman during the marriage. Either we are missing timelines or we had a rather extraordinary visionary carving those sculptures!

திருப்பரங்குன்றம் சிற்பத்தை சைட் போஸில் பார்த்தால் இப்போவும் வாராஹி மாதிரியே இருக்கிறது. அதனால் தான் தடுமாற்றமே. இப்போ சிற்பங்களின் படங்களைப் பெரிது பண்ணிப் பார்த்தால் பாலூட்டும் காட்சி நன்கு தெள்ளத் தெளிவாய்த் தெரிகிறது. மற்றொரு சிற்பம் மீனாக்ஷி கோயில் இல்லைனு உறுதியாத் தெரிஞ்சது. என்றாலும் புதுமண்டபத்தைப் பார்த்தே பல வருடங்கள் ஆகிவிட்டதால் புரியலை! :(((((( புதுமண்டபத்தில் சிற்பங்களை இந்த அளவுக்கு உங்களால் பார்க்க முடிந்ததே அதுவே பெரிய விஷயம்!

நம்பமாட்டீர்கள்! இந்த திருப்பரங்குன்றத்து பன்றிக்கு பாலூட்டும் சிலையைப் பார்த்தபோது (சுமார் 4 மாதங்களுக்கு முன்) கல்லிலே கலைவண்ணத்துக்கு லாயக்கான படம் என்று நினைத்தேன், இன்று வெளிவந்துவிட்டது. பார்க்கலாம்.. அதிகாரிகளுக்கு கடிதம் போடுகிறேன். நேரிலும் சென்று பார்க்கிறேன்…
