There is a introductory writing where King Raja Raja and Vanthiathevan come to current period and talks about the 1000 year celebration, I enjoyed that article very muah. After that I happened to read the above and had the same feeling. I am from Thanjavur and I love Big Temple. ]]> By: பத்மநாபபுரம் அரவிந்தன் http://poetryinstone.in/lang/en/2010/05/20/200th-post-may-your-praise-be-sung-for-eons-the-chola-monalisa-tripurantaka-fresco.html/comment-page-1#comment-33356 பத்மநாபபுரம் அரவிந்தன் Fri, 04 Nov 2011 06:26:09 +0000 http://www.poetryinstone.in/?p=3134#comment-33356 அற்புதம் விஜய்,கண்ணீர் வந்து விட்டது எனக்கு, தஞ்சை பெரியகோயில் - பத்மநாபபுரம் அரவிந்தன் - சிந்தையுள் சிவனேற... சிவ போதை தலைக்கேற யோசித்தான் அம்மன்னன் என்னதான் செய்வதென்று? மனதுள் உருவெடுத்து மலர்ந்ததோர் பெருலிங்கம் இதுவரை கண்டிராத, எவருக்கும் தோன்றிராத மாலிங்க வடிவமது ..விக்கித்துப் போன மன்னன் திசையெங்கும் பறையறைந்தான்... சோழ சாம்ராஜ்ய விரிவைப்போல் பிரமாண்ட கோயிலொன்றை விரைவாகப் பணிய வேண்டும்.. போரெடுத்து வென்று வந்த பெரும் செல்வம் அத்தனையும் மக்களுக்குப் போக மீதி மகேசனின் பணிக்கேயென்றான் ... மனதுள் உதித்தெழுந்த மாலிங்க வடிவமதும் பெரும் பரப்பில் உயர்ந்து நின்ற வான் முட்டும் விமானமும் தினந்தோறும் கனவு கண்டான் கனவதனை நனவாக்க பலவாறு சிந்தித்தான் .. கல்லெடுக்க மலையொன்றை தானேப்போய் கண்டுவந்து சிற்பிகள் உதவியோடு தரமான கல்லென்று தரம் பிரித்து ஆராய்ந்து தொலை தூரம் கொண்டுவர தடம் போட்டு பாதை செய்து பெருங்கற்கள் பலகொண்டு தஞ்சையில் குவித்து வைத்தான் .. இதுவரையில் எவரும் செய்யவே நினைக்காத பெருலிங்கம் செய்தெடுத்தான்.... லிங்கத்தை அமர்த்தியபின் விமானம் உயரவைத்து பல சிற்பம் அதிலமைத்து அற்புதம் படைத்திட்டான்.. சிற்பிகள் மட்டுமன்றி அரசனும் உழைத்திட்டான்.. கோவிலின் பிரம்மாண்டம் சகலரும் பிரம்மிக்க .. நன்கொடைகள் தாராளம் வந்தங்கு சங்கமித்து மேன்மேலும் மெருகேறி விமானம் விரிந்தெழ ... பெருந்தச்சன் விரலசைக்க உளிகள் உறவாட சிற்பங்கள் உயிரோட.. பெருவுடையார் கோயிலது பேரழகு கொண்டு நிற்க மன்னன் ராஜராஜன் வெளி நின்று உள்நோக்கி தன்னுள்ளே யோசித்தான் ' இது நானா கட்டியது?பெருந்தச்சனா கட்டியது? இல்லையில்லை .. எம் பெருவுடையார் தனக்குத் தானே கட்டியது அவனில்லாது போயிருப்பின் எவனிதனை செய்ய ஒக்கும் ?' பெருவுடையார் ஆசிக்காய் நெடுங்கிடையாய் விழுந்தெழுந்தான்... ராஜராஜேஸ்வரம் வாழும் பெருவுடையார் திருக்கோயிலென்று திரு நாமம் சூட்டி தன் பெயரை மட்டுமன்றி நன்கொடைகள் தந்தவரும், கோயிலுக்காய் உழைத்தவரும், சிற்பிகள் மொத்த பெயரும் கல்லில் செதுக்கி வைத்து .. அன்று முதல் அம்மன்னன் மாமன்னன் பெயரெடுத்து இன்று வரை அங்கேயே வாழ்ந்துவரும் அருள் மொழி வர்மனான உடையார் ஸ்ரீ ராஜராஜத் தேவர் வாழ்க வாழ்கவே... - பத்மநாபபுரம் அரவிந்தன் - சென்னை. அற்புதம் விஜய்,கண்ணீர் வந்து விட்டது எனக்கு,

மாலிங்க வடிவமது ..விக்கித்துப் போன மன்னன்

திசையெங்கும் பறையறைந்தான்…

சோழ சாம்ராஜ்ய விரிவைப்போல்

பிரமாண்ட கோயிலொன்றை

விரைவாகப் பணிய வேண்டும்.. போரெடுத்து

வென்று வந்த பெரும் செல்வம் அத்தனையும்

மக்களுக்குப் போக மீதி மகேசனின் பணிக்கேயென்றான் …

மனதுள் உதித்தெழுந்த மாலிங்க வடிவமதும்

பெரும் பரப்பில் உயர்ந்து நின்ற வான் முட்டும்

விமானமும் தினந்தோறும் கனவு கண்டான்

கனவதனை நனவாக்க பலவாறு சிந்தித்தான் ..

கல்லெடுக்க மலையொன்றை தானேப்போய்

கண்டுவந்து சிற்பிகள் உதவியோடு தரமான

கல்லென்று தரம் பிரித்து ஆராய்ந்து

தொலை தூரம் கொண்டுவர

தடம் போட்டு பாதை செய்து

பெருங்கற்கள் பலகொண்டு தஞ்சையில்

குவித்து வைத்தான் .. இதுவரையில்

எவரும் செய்யவே நினைக்காத

பெருலிங்கம் செய்தெடுத்தான்….

லிங்கத்தை அமர்த்தியபின்

விமானம் உயரவைத்து

பல சிற்பம் அதிலமைத்து அற்புதம்

படைத்திட்டான்.. சிற்பிகள் மட்டுமன்றி

அரசனும் உழைத்திட்டான்..

கோவிலின் பிரம்மாண்டம்

சகலரும் பிரம்மிக்க .. நன்கொடைகள்

தாராளம் வந்தங்கு சங்கமித்து

மேன்மேலும் மெருகேறி விமானம் விரிந்தெழ …

பெருந்தச்சன் விரலசைக்க உளிகள் உறவாட

சிற்பங்கள் உயிரோட.. பெருவுடையார் கோயிலது

பேரழகு கொண்டு நிற்க மன்னன் ராஜராஜன்

வெளி நின்று உள்நோக்கி தன்னுள்ளே யோசித்தான்

‘ இது நானா கட்டியது?பெருந்தச்சனா கட்டியது?

இல்லையில்லை .. எம் பெருவுடையார்

தனக்குத் தானே கட்டியது

அவனில்லாது போயிருப்பின்

எவனிதனை செய்ய ஒக்கும் ?’

பெருவுடையார் ஆசிக்காய்

நெடுங்கிடையாய் விழுந்தெழுந்தான்…

ராஜராஜேஸ்வரம் வாழும் பெருவுடையார்

திருக்கோயிலென்று திரு நாமம் சூட்டி

தன் பெயரை மட்டுமன்றி

நன்கொடைகள் தந்தவரும், கோயிலுக்காய்

உழைத்தவரும், சிற்பிகள் மொத்த பெயரும்

கல்லில் செதுக்கி வைத்து .. அன்று முதல்

அம்மன்னன் மாமன்னன் பெயரெடுத்து

இன்று வரை அங்கேயே வாழ்ந்துவரும்

அருள் மொழி வர்மனான

உடையார் ஸ்ரீ ராஜராஜத் தேவர் வாழ்க வாழ்கவே…

The painting of Lord Shiva with anger in this eyes and childish smile on his lips... leaves me breathless. Art in the days of yore seems to have been taught and researched in a different dimension. Artists during chola reign seem to have focussed on creativity and realism so much that they were able to make their paintings convey more than words/texts.
